Celebrating Your Story

YOUR CEREMONY

Weddings & Vow Renewals

Do you dream of having a wedding in a magical woodland setting, a ceremony on a romantic beach or dressed as your favourite literary character? Or are you celebrating a milestone anniversary and want to remake your vows?

You can! Choosing a celebrant to write and conduct your ceremony means you can have your special day almost anywhere, anytime and exactly how YOU want it. After all it`s YOUR wedding.

Simple, traditional, romantic or a fun filled fancy dress affair. The choice is yours. Working closely with you I will create a ceremony that reflects your personal beliefs, hopes and dreams for the future and tells YOUR story.

I can include symbolic ceremonies such as hand fasting, jumping the broom, unity candles and sand ceremony to name but a few. You may even wish to include your pets!

Vows are such a special part of a wedding ceremony. You have the opportunity to write your own or I can help you. Above all you will have the final say, it is YOUR ceremony.

Please be aware that for your marriage to be legal it must be registered in the presence of two witnesses and a registrar. A brief appointment lasting no longer than the time taken to answer two declaratory questions and sign a register. Much the same as registering a birth or death and NOT a ceremony. Music, readings, vows and rings are all ceremonial and can therefore be performed anywhere and in any way you wish!

As Roald Dahl once wrote " we are the dreamers of dreams" let me know your dreams and how I can weave them into a magical wedding

Baby Naming Ceremonies

Your child is unique in every way so why not celebrate their arrival with an equally special naming ceremony.

Whether it`s a new baby or adopted/step children you are welcoming, a naming ceremony is a wonderful celebration and perfect opportunity to introduce them to the family.

I will help you create a magical ceremony that reflects your beliefs and hopes for your child`s future. It can be simple, fun or include more religious/spiritual aspects such as tree planting or candle lighting.

Many people also like to appoint guardians, guide parents or sponsors. Whatever you call them they are specially chosen by you to play a guiding role in your child`s upbringing. Their promises will be unique and from the heart.

You can hold your celebration anywhere - a hired venue, your home even your garden - weather permitting! How about a Mad Hatter`s Tea Party or Teddy Bear`s Picnic?

Above all it will be an occasion full of love laughter and happy memories and totally written with you in mind.

You could include a naming ceremony in your wedding or vow renewal.

Funerals

Our lives all tell a different story. It follows therefore that our final goodbye should reflect that story, our beliefs and above all our personality.

Choosing a celebrant to write and conduct your funeral means your wishes and those of your loved one are of the utmost importance.

I will meet with you and your family and listen. Listen to your stories and memories and gather as much detail as possible to ensure the occasion is deserving of the person whose life we are celebrating. Funny stories, what made them laugh even those annoying habits! Favourite music, poems, readings and singers can all be woven into a truly personal celebration.

I believe a funeral should be a celebration of life, however long however brief. A funeral itself cannot prevent the sense of loss or heal the grieving process. But the right funeral can help that process begin.
